This policy explains the information Gateproxies collects, why it is needed, and the choices available to you when you use our website, services, and the GateProxies Chrome extension.
We collect information you provide when you create an account, purchase a package, contact support, or otherwise use the service. This may include your name, email address, account credentials, billing and transaction references, support messages, and service preferences.
We also receive technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP address, browser or device details, timestamps, pages requested, and security events.
When you register, we may send a verification email to confirm that you control the address. We may also send essential account, security, billing, and service messages. Marketing messages, where offered, include an unsubscribe option.
We may share information with vendors that help us host the website, send transactional email, process payments, provide analytics, prevent fraud, and deliver the service. These providers receive only the information needed for their task and are expected to protect it.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets.
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, to meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.
You may ask us to correct or delete account information, subject to records we must retain. You may also ask questions about how your information is used or object to certain processing. Contact support@gateproxies.com to make a request.
Gateproxies may use cookies or similar technologies to keep sessions secure, remember preferences, understand site usage, and improve performance. Your browser controls some cookie choices. Disabling essential cookies may affect sign-in or service behavior.
The GateProxies Chrome extension lets you route this Chrome profile through a GateProxies endpoint or any proxy string you paste. It is a browser connector. It does not change other browsers, mobile apps, or the operating system network.
If you sign in, the extension sends your GateProxies email and password to https://gateproxies.com over HTTPS and stores an extension session token, your name, email, and the proxy endpoints on your account in chrome.storage.local on your device. If you paste a proxy, the host, port, username, and password stay on your device so Chrome can authenticate to that proxy.
When a proxy is connected, Chrome sends that profile’s web traffic through the proxy you chose. The extension supplies proxy credentials only when Chrome raises a proxy authentication challenge. It does not read the content of websites you visit, does not record browsing history, and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.
To confirm a route is working, the extension may request a public IP from ipify or icanhazip through the active Chrome profile, and may look up that IP’s city and country on ipwho.is. That lookup describes the proxy exit address, not your physical location.
We do not sell extension user data. Credentials and tokens stay on the device unless you sign in, in which case authentication is processed by Gateproxies solely to load your purchased endpoints. You can sign out in the popup to drop the session token. Uninstalling the extension removes local storage for that Chrome profile.
